Celebrating Mom

Happy Mother's Day ladies!!

Our Sunday began with a wonderful [but top-secret] photo shoot at our home in Bluemont, VA. We had absolutely beautiful weather. Some family friends of ours wanted photos for a Mother's Day surprise so I'm not allowed to post them until she gets them :)

After our photo session, we celebrated Mother's Day at our place. Mom's favorite dish is anything that includes pasta [I get it honest], so I made some shrimp fettucini with homemade alfredo sauce, garlic bread, and caesar salad. Daw-Daw had made a lemon meringue pie for dessert and it was fantastic, as always!

We exchanged gifts and then ended the evening by taking Mom's new canoe out on the Shenandoah [for which I regret leaving my camera at the house...] and spending some quality family time on the lot.
